Notice to Bidders - Northern Pines Fishing Platform Project

Town of Wilton Northern Pines Fishing Platform Project

The Town of Wilton, New York (in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5A of the General Municipal Law) hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for the Town of Wilton Northern Pines Fishing Platform Project.

Bids will be received by the Town of Wilton until 12:00 PM on or before November 3, 2025 at the Town Clerk’s Office, Town of Wilton Town Hall, 22 Traver Road, Wilton, New York, 12831, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for all sealed bids received pursuant to this notice for the furnishing of all work, labor, materials, equipment and tools in connection with the Town of Wilton Northern Pines Fishing Platform Project.

The Contractor shall be solely responsible for ensuring the delivery of the sealed bid no later than the date and time specified. Use of the U.S. Postal Service or any other mail or courier service which may result in delayed delivery shall not relieve the Contractor from the conditions of the bid opening deadline. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted.

Summary of Work: The Work of this Contract, as defined in greater detail by other provisions of the Contract Documents, consists of construction of a new cantilevered steel beam framed fishing platform set on helical pile deep foundations with aluminum joints supporting an aluminum deck floor system.

Accompanying each bid shall be a bid bond, certified check or bank (cashier's) check, made payable to the Town of Wilton in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the Bidder's maximum bid amount, as a guarantee that if the Contract is awarded to a Bidder, said successful Bidder will comply with the Bid Documents for the Contract in accordance herewith.

A “Performance Bond” and a “Labor and Materials Payment Bond” in the amount of the contract price and the form described in the Contract Documents will be required from the successful bidder.

Prevailing Wage Rates for Saratoga County apply to all work performed. A tax exempt certificate will be provided to the successful Bidder.

The Town of Wilton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids.

The project schedule shall be as follows:
